During the evening the 101 artists will hear whether theirs is one of 6 artworks that has been awarded a prize. If not, they could be one of the lucky winners of the exciting new artist in residence category that will provide another six artists with overseas experience and opportunities at established art institutions.
    • 14 March 2010 - 14 May 2010Spier Contemporary Opens For ArtSpier Contemporary is Open for Art at Cape Town's historic City Hall. The exhibition has provided artists living in the country with an open platform to create and show new work that reflects both the breadth and depth of the South African experience. After an exhaustive selection process, Spier Contemporary opens with 101 artists and over 132 artworks that showcase where South Africa is in 2010 as seen through the eyes of the country's artists.
